Footprints and Handprints on the Road to Social Equity
Track: Net Positive Products + Enterprise

Progress on social equity is a must, across all sectors. This requires people to take responsibility for ways in which their behavior may unintentionally harm others, to listen openly, pursue creative solutions, and do this work long-term.

Handprinting reframes environmental challenges as opportunities for actors to create positive change that exceeds their “footprints”, and work towards becoming Net Positive on each impact category. Participants in workshops about environmental handprinting develop new openness to take responsibility for their footprint once they are aware of their power to also create handprints.

We will experientially explore this potential for social equity handprinting.
