Monmade: How Craft Businesses Tackled Declare
Track: Social Equity + Supply Chains

Through its Pittsburgh Living Product Hub, ILFI teamed up with Bridgeway Capital to educate producers of the Monmade collaborative about ingredient transparency and support four makers to achieve a Declare label. This session will start with an overview of Monmade and the work it is doing in the region to encourage the growth of craft manufacturing. The speakers will then review the Declare platform through the lens of a craft business to understand the unique challenges, the business impacts, and the ability to fit within the LBC (specifically Red List and Living Economy Sourcing). It will be geared towards small manufacturers considering Declare, as well as project teams that want to ensure equitable opportunity for manufacturers of all sizes.
