Prof. Wil V. Srubar III is an assistant professor of architectural engineering and materials science and engineering at the University of Colorado Boulder. He received his PhD from Stanford University in 2013 and his BS and MS from Texas A&M University and the University of Texas at Austin in 2006 and 2008, respectively. His research concerns engineering biological, biomimetic, and living materials for the built environment, with a current focus on natural polymers (e.g., cellulose, gelatin), living cementitious systems, biomimetic antifreeze polymers, and lichen-based membranes for sustainable and regenerative architecture.
